Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how VA Disability Hub ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit vadisabilityhub.com (the "Site").

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Automatically collected information: When you visit our Site, we automatically receive certain information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. This information is collected by our hosting provider, by cookieless analytics, and — only if you accept cookies — by cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
• Tool inputs: What you enter into our disability calculator, assessment, and TDIU pre-qualifier is processed in your browser by default. If you ask for a results email, your email address and results are sent through our server to our email provider:
  • Calculator: conditions and ratings, dependents, estimated rating and payment, and a shareable link.
  • Assessment: selected conditions, your answers, estimated rating and payment, and a shareable link.
  • TDIU pre-qualifier: your ratings, eligibility result, employment and inability-to-work findings, current and TDIU payment estimates, evidence checklist, and a shareable link that includes your rating answers, work answers, income (if entered), and dependents.
• Contact form submissions: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, inquiry type, and message. This information is sent through Resend (our transactional email provider) to our team's inbox so we can respond. We do not store form submissions in a separate database. To prevent spam and abuse, our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates browser signals (and may set a short-lived cookie) to verify the submission is not automated. Turnstile is a privacy-preserving alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs and does not track you across sites.
• Spam protection: Our email and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile. We keep your IP address for up to an hour after your last submission to limit repeated submissions.

How We Use Information

We use automatically collected information to:

• Analyze website traffic and usage patterns
• Improve our content and user experience
• Serve relevant advertising

Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, adds its Web Analytics script to every page, whatever you choose in the cookie banner. We use it to count page views and visits and to measure how quickly pages load. In Cloudflare's words, it "does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics," and Cloudflare does not "fingerprint" individuals "via their IP address, User Agent string, or any other data for the purpose of displaying analytics." Cloudflare also states that Web Analytics does "not log query strings to avoid collecting potentially sensitive data." See Cloudflare Web Analytics for details.

Google Analytics. Only if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how visitors move through the Site. We remove the query string and fragment from page addresses before they are sent, because our tool share links encode your inputs there. With your consent, Google Analytics also records coarse interaction events (for example, that a tool was used, a link was shared, or a related guide was opened) that never include your inputs, results or email address.

Email Subscriber Information

If you sign up for email updates through our footer, COLA alert banner, or tool result emails, we collect:

• Email address and the signup source (which page or tool you signed up from). Results requests also include the tool scenario described above. The newsletter checkbox on results forms is separate and unchecked by default.

We use your email address to:

• Send you the tool results you requested (e.g., your calculator scenario)
• Send periodic VA benefit updates if you opted in (rate changes, new tools, claims tips)

Our email is processed by Resend, our email service provider. Resend stores your email address and subscription status on our behalf.

You can unsubscribe from newsletter updates using the link in newsletter emails, or by emailing contact@vadisabilityhub.com. Tool-result emails are one-off messages sent at your request and do not include a newsletter unsubscribe link. Requesting results does not by itself subscribe you to newsletter updates. We retain your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

We do not sell or rent your email address. We disclose it to the service providers described above to process the messages and subscriptions you request.

Third-Party Advertising

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Site. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

Our Site is configured for Google AdSense, with ad serving subject to Google's approval. When ads are enabled and you accept cookies, Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to our Site and other websites.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Cookies and Browser Storage

Our Site uses cookies — small text files placed on your device — and your browser's local storage. We use the following:

Always used (needed for the Site to work as you asked):

• cookie-consent (local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page. It stays until you change your choice or clear your browser's storage.
• theme (local storage) — remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. It is set only if you use the theme toggle.
• cola_banner_dismissed (first-party cookie) — remembers that you closed the COLA alert banner. It expires after 30 days.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — may set a short-lived cookie when you use one of our forms, to check that the submission is not automated.

Only if you accept cookies:

• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — used to distinguish unique visitors and track page views.
• Google AdSense — when ads are enabled, Google may set first-party advertising cookies on our domain such as __gads, __gpi and __eoi, and cookies such as IDE and test_cookie on doubleclick.net. Google may use other cookies too; see how Google uses cookies.

When you first visit our Site, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the page. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies. Google Analytics and AdSense do not load until you accept, so if you reject cookies they do not set cookies or collect personal data. Cloudflare Web Analytics, described above, is cookieless and runs either way.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer of every page, or open cookie settings now. If you withdraw consent, we remove the Google Analytics and AdSense cookies set on our domain and reload the page so Google's scripts stop running. Cookies Google set on its own domains, such as doubleclick.net, can be removed in your browser's settings.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, use our contact form.

Clarification — October 31, 2026: Clarified that advertising is subject to Google approval and that our email provider processes requested messages and subscriptions. Our data processing has not changed.
